It Was a Long Journey

"It Was a Long Journey"... the availability of the blog has always had its ups and downs due to the low number of accesses and even it becoming outdated in terms of design and the materials for the version of RPG Maker that I used.

Since I started it in 2010, I even deleted some posts that I felt didn't reflect my maturity both in writing style and the work itself that I share here. I participated in large communities, witnessed them fall and rise again, fall again even after re-emerging with different names, and even the friends and companions I acquired over time have gone with the passing of these 6 years of... career? Or would it be a hobby? I believe a hobby, because looking at everything I've done, from projects that didn't go forward, that big one I lost from the hard drive, the ones from various teams I participated in that also didn't go forward, to series or project packages that didn't quite work out, I always did all this for fun without intending to profit or pursue a career in game development.

But even without all that intention, I managed to learn and improve my skills more and more in the communities I frequented, almost all of them, from Sanctuary (the first), Mundo, Condado (Vila Makers), Grandes Makers (missing Ureca), Dungeons, and Centro RPG Maker, the last one being the one I felt more attached to the people because of the time I spent there. However, as the days, months, years passed, I grew older and consequently acquired other responsibilities in my life that sometimes took all my time, enthusiasm, and energy to deal with pixel art and even to comment and post new content in CRM.

With this journey coming to an end and a new one beginning for me in my current field, I conclude my activities here without knowing if I will ever return. So, I will leave... not everything, but part of what I did and ideas that may be used by you from this dusty blog, with the possibility that no one will read and see this pitiful farewell text from a world full of things to explore, learn, and create other worlds.

I wish good luck to everyone and a big hug to those I met on this journey through this immense world.

Dramatic illustration for this post, no!? ;}
